How to replace your scooter griptape?

Replacing worn griptape with a new sheet — or a different design — is quick and easy.

To make it even simpler, we made a video that walks through each step of removing and replacing scooter griptape.

Replace the griptape on your scooter

Follow this step-by-step guide:

1. Remove the old griptape. Warm it gently with a hairdryer (or similar) so the adhesive softens and it peels off more easily.
2. Check that your new griptape fits the deck before you stick it down.
3. Place the griptape evenly along the deck and press it down firmly.
4. Trim the excess carefully around the deck edges with a sharp knife or razor for a clean fit. Work slowly and cut away from yourself.
