Tighten or replace the valve on your inflatable SUP
Just got a SUP where the valve feels slightly loose? That is normal on new boards — manufacturers often leave the valve hand-tight so it is not over-torqued in production. If yours needs tightening, your board is likely brand new.How to tighten the valve
You only need the valve wrench from your repair kit.
1. Push the wrench into the valve until it engages the tabs.
2. Turn clockwise while keeping pressure on the wrench until the valve is snug.
How to replace the valve
1. Push the wrench into the valve until it engages.
2. Turn counterclockwise while keeping pressure on the wrench to loosen the valve.
3. When fully loose, carefully remove the old valve.
4. Place the new valve in the hole and keep it straight.
5. Tighten carefully, turning evenly so the valve sits straight and seals properly.
