Size guide for Pro / Freestyle Scooters
The size of your scooter plays a big role in how you ride and how much you can get out of your setup.
The right
height provides better control, balance, and comfort - and makes it easier to learn new tricks.
Personal preference and style mean everything
Since the choice of height largely depends on personal preferences and riding style, there is no one perfect
size that fits everyone.
However, we have created a guiding size chart based on the user's height and
a beginner level,
where the rider has not yet specialized in street or park riding.
The Broomstick Method - the safe way to find the right height
If you want to be completely sure that your scooter has the optimal height, we recommend the “broomstick method”:
- Hold a broomstick horizontally in the air.
- Place it at the height where you prefer the handlebars when standing on the scooter (typically around hip height).
- Measure from the broomstick down to the floor.
- Add approx. 5 cm - this corresponds to the height you're raised above the ground when standing on the scooter.
Example: 30.71" (broomstick to floor) + 1.97" = 32.68" optimal total height
Freestyle scooters cannot be height-adjusted
Because freestyle scooters are used for tricks and hard landings, they are built as a fixed and strong
construction without adjustment mechanisms.
Adjustable handlebars would compromise durability and
safety.
For all complete scooters in our webshop, you will therefore find the total height listed in the specifications - measured from the ground to the top of the handlebars.
Street vs. Park - what should you choose?
Freestyle scooters are often divided into two styles:
| Riding Style | Preferred Height | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Park | Closer to the hips | For quick rotations and lightness |
| Street | Closer to the navel | For stability and control during grinds and drops |
Summary - how to choose correctly:
- User height + preference = starting point
- Use the broomstick method for accurate measurement
- Check the total height in the product specifications
- Choose lower bars for park / higher bars for street
