Product information:
Story Metro is a scooter intended for transportation and is recommended for older children and adults. With adjustable scooter heights this scooter fits people taller than 145cm and up to 190-195cm. The scooter folds just by one push with your foot. The Metro scooter from Story is ideal for public transport users who have some way to or from the bus or train.
The Story Metro scooter is not the lightest in its class, but it is spec’d out with the newest features! The scooter is built on a strong aluminum base with light plastic extensions of the deck. The platform is long and wide for your feet to fit. The handlebars are wider than most other scooters - lager riders have a good and natural grip on the handlebars of this scooter. The scooter is equipped with shock absorbers in the fork and rear wheel. Giant 230mm wheels keep you out trouble on any surfaces.
Story was able to create a simple and quick folding system. A single quick release mechanism can be activated by just a press with your toe. This quick release is strategically place in the front, facing forwards to avoid the rider from accidently activating it when riding. The deck is reinforced with durable plastic in the front to limit the damage that asphalt can do to the deck when folding the scooter. The wide bars can easily be folded as well, to fit the scooter in most public transportation together with yourself.

Size guide for transport scooters
We recommend that the total height of your scooter is between your hip and the base of your chest (please see illustration below). Transport scooters can be adjusted in height, and it is important that the scooter has one setting in the interval specified in the guide below.
Note this table is for guidance only.
|
*Smaller children have difficulty handling heavier scooters. Therefore, we recommend a max-weight of the scooter itself, for the smallest users between 2′ 9"-4′ 1" (about 2-6 years old).

The height of your scooter can have a big impact on user satisfaction. With a scooter at the right height, it is comfortable and relaxing to use. The user stands in a natural position with slightly bent arms. Above you will find a size guide that helps you find the right height for your transport scooter in relation to your personal height.
Size Guide for Scooters and Kids' Scooters
When choosing a scooter for commuting or for children, it's important to find the right height to ensure good comfort and control. Here are our recommendations:

Recommended Height:
We recommend that the total height of the scooter (from the ground to the top of the handlebar) be between the user's hip and the bottom of their chest.
Please see our illustration for a visual example:
Adjustable Scooters:
Most commuter scooters and kids' scooters have adjustable handlebar height.
Under the specifications of each product, you can see both the minimum and maximum height settings, allowing you to
easily determine whether the scooter fits your child - or multiple users in the family.
This allows the scooter to grow with the rider and ensures optimal use over time.
Especially for Younger Children (2 - 6 years):
Younger children often prefer lighter scooters - e.g., made from aluminum or plastic.
This information is also available under the product's specifications.
“Broomstick Method” - Find the Right Height:
A simple and effective method to find the perfect height is the “broomstick method”:
- Hold a broomstick horizontally in the air in front of you.
- Place it at the height where you'd like the handlebar (typically around hip height - but it depends on personal preference).
- Measure the distance from the broomstick to the floor.
- Add approx. 5 cm - as you are raised off the ground when standing on the scooter itself.
Example:
If you measure 70 cm from the broomstick to the floor, add 5 cm - 75 cm is the optimal total height of the scooter.
Important to Know:
Commuter and kids' scooters are designed with adjustable height because they are not subjected to the
same stress as stunt scooters.
Stunt scooters, on the other hand, must be 100% fixed and therefore cannot be adjusted in height.
